North Pole Trek: Fairbanks
Wednesday, December 14, 2011
Wow, Fairbanks was a long way! Good thing we had those dog sleds! We can spend some time warming ourselves in the Chena Hot Springs
While we are relaxing we can view the beautiful Northern Lights. Fairbanks is one of the best places in the world to view them.
On our travels we have learned from the locals that duct tape in indespensible in Alaska. It can used for everything from patching parkas to removing sled dog hair from your good pants. I think we should stock up for the rest of our trip!
Next stop: The United State's Northernmost city, Barrow Alaska. This will be our last stop in Alaska before heading into North Pole territory! Keep your eyes out for reindeer crossings!
