I tried to body surf on the cement today...

Did you know that the ground is hard? I think I knew that at one point in my life, and I re-learned it early this morning when I tripped over a crack in the sidewalk and bounced/slid along the ground. I sat there for a second and did an inventory - nothing broken, everything hurt. I got up and walked past 1 house and then passed out cold. I got up again walked a few steps, and started getting dizzy again, so I tried to sit on the corner. As I bent down to sit, I passed out again. Apparently somewhere in there I managed to get to the dialing screen on my phone and called my husband and my brother. My husband never heard the phone ring.
My brother's voice on the phone woke me up. I told him where I was, I could feel myself going under again. I was a block away from home. I thought about trying to crawl my way home, but realized that crossing the street would make that impossible. Plus I might get lost and my brother was on his way. I kept trying to call my husband. A homeless guy passed by and said hi. Several cars slowed to look, and a motorcyclist stopped and stared. By the time my brother got there, I was sitting upright, but not standing.
We went home to pick up my husband and get ice, then to the ER. I have a concussion (with a nice bump and scrape on the forehead), bruised nose, cut lip, bruised ribs, scraped/bruised hips, scraped left knee and right elbow, and both hands are all torn up. Nothing's broken, but everything is sore.
Doc told me to stay home today and rest. I'm sure I will look wonderful for tomorrow... I'm on an interview panel for the next two days. I'll probably frighten all of the people looking for a job, as well as the other people on the panel with me. LOL.
