Where there's a will there's a way!

Friday, December 09, 2011

There are several things my mom used to say all the time that have stuck with me through the years... Cheaters never prosper! Patience is a virtue! And where there's a will, there's a way!

This last one is particularly significant as we contemplate the monumental task of fitting exercise and meal planning/tracking/preparation in to our already busy schedules.

If we REALLY want to make changes and lose the weight and get healthy, we HAVE to find a way to do it! And it can be done! How much time do we spend checking Facebook, watching TV, or gossiping with our neighbors? Cut back some time here and there on the not-so-important things and fill that time with some meal-planning or 10 minutes of exercise.

One thing I always talk about doing but haven't yet is setting aside time each weekend to plan my meals for the week, go shopping, and prepare some things ahead. Then my triggers for unhealthy eating - no time to prepare food, don't know what to eat, etc. - are taken care of!

Just remember, you have taken the first step by being here so you have the WILL to succeed! Now let's find the way to make it HAPPEN!!

That is something I totally need to check out too. I think I tell myself that I'm busier than I really am, I tell myself that I'm too busy I can't count calories or ride the bike for a lil while longer, but how long do I spend sitting around? Playing the wii? Reading?
Maybe I need to write down times so I can see just how much time I waste during the day!

    Loved your blog!

Exactly! It really is possible & it really is in our own hands. Sounds like you know exactly what you need to do next... now go do it!
