Necessities and Rewards

Since I have really committed to losing weight and living a healthier lifestyle, I realize that there are many things that I need. I also realize that I should reward myself for reaching goals as an effort to stay motivated. For instance, water aerobics is my cardio exercise of choice. However, I only have one swimsuit, in which the chlorine has turned a funky brown, and my water shoes are shot. I have added strength training to my routine. I have only have one pair of yoga pants and two pairs on yoga capris, none of which I have matching shirts for. I also need a food scale and some more food storage containers. I could use a better gym bag, shower shoes, a swim cap (or two), and reusable bottles to hold shampoo and such. So, after the Christmas holidays, I will invest in these items. I think I may even buy an I-pod so that I can download some great workout songs.
Since I am already well on my way to reaching some short-term goals, I may as well reward myself. I have not decided what exactly I will be rewarding myself with. I have not thought through it yet. I have some ideas such as a pedicure, massage, new outfit, new shoes, new gadget, etc. My next assignment for myself is to set some specific goals and rewards associated with those goals. Lemme go, got work to do.
