"Today I will do what others won't So That tomorrow I can do what others can't."

As winter weather sits in and mileage increases for the half marathon training, this has become my mantra. I found it a few weeks ago on a SparkTeam page. I think the author was unknown.

I have always put inspirational quotes and scriptures around me. This one is now on my closet door. When it's time to get dressed for running, it's there to see. When I'm not wanting to take the time to run or get out in the weather, it's there to see.

It reminds me of all that I could lose if I do not take care of myself today. It reminds me that there are many more years to live. It reminds me of all that life has to offer.

So find yourself some words. Post them wherever you need to see them most. Speak them to yourself when needed.

No one knows what you need to hear better than yourself.

I think quote is from Dave Ramsey, the financial guru--at least I hear him saying it a lot. He uses it in the context of being debt-free, but it applies in any area of self-discipline.

Excellent idea, Roxanne. I've made Powerpoint pages of quotes I like and print them up for my grandson every so often. Good luck on the marathon. Stay warm.

Thanks for posting this!! I always have quotes around me too but for the past few months they have just been collecting on a Word document on my computer. There are a few that are very meaningful & motivational for me right now on my journey, & I keep meaning to print or write them out so I can put them up, but I keep putting that aside. This quote really hits home to me lately. It's something I could definitely remember every day! Now my goal for tonight is to get mine up to give me further motivation. Thank you again. Hope you have a great night! :)
