Am I addicted to my Kindle?
Probaby I am.
But this is a good addiction compared to cigarettes, booze, illicit drugs, etc. Isn't it?
Recently I dropped my kindle while bringing our cat back from the vet.
It is in a leathercase, but when it fell it landed on its face. (the kindle not Mr. Yoster; he's fine.)
The screen went dark and stayed dark after re-charging and turning it on and off.
I waited a day in case it got better overnight, it didn't,
so I ordered a new Kindle 3.
I purchased my first kindle in March 2009 after seeing Amazon's CEO Mr. Bezos on Charlie
Rose's show on PBS. Mr. Bezos was promoting the kindle and he sold me
then and there.
My first kindle burnt out, while I was reading on the beach.
That was under warranty. Now I am replacing that one ( which is out of warranty) because
I think it's been one of best purchases I have ever made.
I have been a voracious reader all my life, but it is only since getting
my first kindle that I have devoted more time to reading classics and great books.
Maybe I like it because I can make the print a little bigger when I need it
or because of the built-in dictionary that can be summoned at any time.
I find myself carrying it with me like a security blanket.
Anyway Mr. Bezos, I would like a dollar for every time
I have recommended your wonderful product!
I would be a rich man!
