A different goal

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

I have been lax about blogging here on Spark People - or doing much of anything else on here - during the month of November. That is the month I do National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). The goal is to write 50,000 words in one month. Yesterday, I crossed the 50,000 word mark and "won." I cannot say I wrote 50,000 words that make a coherent story...most of the words are more stream of consciousness than anything else. This can be edited later, should I decide to make a marketable novel out of it.

Now...to decide on December health goals....I think if I maintain my current weight, I will be doing well. And to partake in the festivities with more socializing and less standing around the snack table. For non-health goals, I want to finish reading a few books I started earlier this year and set aside for one reason or another. These goals will keep me busy, I am sure.

I started NANOWIMO this year, but had a publisher request edits on a previous book, so I had to stop. Way to go in getting to 50k! Congratulations!!!
