For the past few months I have been busy training for a half marathon. One of the things I struggle with is trying to find the right balance of what to eat before a long run. I usually run at 5am so it's hard to know what to do. This time around I found a new product that seemed to set well with my stomach and give me some energy. It's by Power Bar - Harvest Whole Grain Energy bar - fav flavor is the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie. Really good tasting and didn't upset my stomach.

Today's work out was 10 min warm-up on the elliptical and then a full body weights for 50 mins. This was a routine I did when I worked with a personal trainer. Lots of different things and fast paced. Since I had too much to do after work last night I did not get my cardio in. So I will try again tonight for a 30 mins. cardio DVD. Hopefully today will go better.

    My morning pick up is a lot cheaper. Banana with peanut butter. Try it and see if it works for you.
