From City Mouse to Country Mouse

Where I live now is not really my "home town" which usually means where you grew up. Denver is my home town and I love that city. I love cities and somehow feel more alive in the midst of a city with traffic bustling and tall buildings; museums, zoos, live theatre, symphony orchestras, and great shopping! We moved to this farming community to help out on the farm for one summer. Now it is 38 years later, we are still here and I love living on a farm and I call this small town my home. Our kids went to school here and participated in music, sports, drama, and for the most part had good academic foundations. They went on to college and now live away from here with careers that they love. The churches in our town work together for humanitarian causes and share meals together. The community is welcoming and people care about each other. I am thankful for visits to large cities where our children live, but I am also very thankful to call this small rural city my home!
