Post Turkey Day Confession

Monday, November 28, 2011

I gained .2lbs. I have been dreading getting on the scale all morning, because I expected a 2lb or so gain. Instead, I gained only a couple of ounces. Whew! I am so ecstatic. I went into Turkey Day with a game plan, but I fell by the wayside. Although I did not gorge myself full of all of the fixins, I did go way over what I had planned for myself. The chocolate cake that my mom baked was my biggest indulgence. I did get some shopping done, which meant lots of walking, so I guess that qualifies as exercise. emoticon

Anywho, I am so relieved. I guess those early week workouts last week helped me minimize the damage. This evening I have an appointment with a fitness coach. She is going to give me some guidance and get me started on a strength training routine. I look forward to adding the weights, because I want to tone and tighten as I lose. I am back to business with my eating, water, and tracking this week. I hope to have a better game plan for the Christmas/New Year's holiday week. Since I will not be travelling to mom's and grandma's, things should work more in my favor. I seem to have more control in my own environment.

You actually did well executing your turkey day game plan and the best thing you could have done was to continue with your daily plan the next day. You are one step closer to your goal.

    Keep up the good work!
