Thanksgiving Tears....

Thursday, November 24, 2011

Well, our younger daughter..who moved out of state, in the end September - has already called - crying, feeling homesick and alone. We saw her two weeks ago, and she'll be home 12/5...but this is the first Holiday for all of us not being together.

I cried right along with her..and I think her Dad was too. emoticon

But, we are telling ourselves that while it is hard being alone, at least it's not for a broken relationship, or death, illness or by force. Trying to count our Blessings. emoticon

Thanks everyone...well I got through the day...Only brought to tears twice..when Ash called in the early morn, and when a friend...who is in the same circumstance, called me to commiserate. Both our youngest were classmates since pre-school, and Ash moved to TN, her son moved to CA. Both fly in 12/23 for Christmas.

And after that the rest of the day was fine. emoticon

Sorry your family is apart. I understand what you are feeling.
My daughter and husband won't be back from Miami till tomorrow.
We had a large family gathering, and we all missed them. At least my grandsons were there.
One of their cousins called from Philly, he was alone, and we all felt bad for him. He said next year he will fly here.
Thanksgiving like Xmas seems the time for families to be together. Although I know sometimes that is impossible.
At least you got to talk to her and I hope that eased your mind some.
    Take care,
Tisha emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I know it's hard Theresa when another one leaves the nest. But you taught her well as she is being independent. Look forward to when you see her in a few weeks and it'll be like Thanksgiving all over again. Lots of Hugs.

Our oldest daughter and her hubby and 2 year old son decided it was just too much to travel the 20 minutes between families this year and have decided to flip flop years.... she is already regretting it. And it won't be the same without her. I truly doubt it will last emoticon Thanksgiving is all about family emoticon

Hugs to you and your family... those firsts away from home are life changing. We all have to go through them emoticon

We will be separated this year due to a minor family issue. How sad that something so small can cause such anger. Have a good day, no matter what.
