My Dear Mother-in-Law

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

Last night we had a wonderful dinner prepared by the nursing home where my mother-in-law is residing. Every year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, they prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for the residents and their families. Sadly, my mother-in-law looks so frail compared to last year. She did not enjoy the dinner this year and was very tired, but we were grateful for the efforts of the staff and grateful we were able to spend the time with her. We will be out of town tomorrow, but my hubby's daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and niece will be bringing their full Thanksgiving dinner to the nursing home for her. I did get a nice picture of my hubby and his mom.

He is a WONDERFUL son. He goes every day to feed his mom breakfast at the nursing home and sometimes goes for lunch as well. I wish we were able to take care of her at home, but we just aren't able.
