Star City Half Marathon ----done - 2:35 took 20 mins. off my time from last year. So excited!!

It has been a very busy few months. My house has been on the market and hopefully may have a buyer. So every day has been about clean up, pick up. My daughter got married in September - after months of planning. It was a beautiful wedding, but so thankful it's over and it went well. Then since July I have been doing a half marathon training program. Thankfully the race was this past week-end. It was a 19 week program and that was way to long. I ended up with some hip problems, which at first they thought was bursitis, but then after xray they said it was a congenital defect and that the running was irritating it. So I survived that and got back on track to do the race.
The plan this week is to slow it down, take it easy - off for a little vacation to the beach starting Wednesday and back on Sunday. I need to come up with a new plan and not focus so much on running. I need to loose about 8 lbs I have gained. I think in the running just makes me more hungry!
Here are a few pics from my favorite wedding.

Congratulations on your race performance! What was your strategy? Were you run-walking, or running it all? Was there any good schwag? Would you recommend the race to others?
