We had our first snow fall on Saturday. Most people don't like hearing or seeing the "s" word but not me.... I love it!
Having snow is a great workout. You burn more calories trudging through the white stuff and burn extra calories being outside in the cold. You can get a great workout shoveling or even just having fun.
Which is exactly what I did on Saturday...... had fun in the snow with my daughter!
She couldn't wait to get outside to shovel. Even though it was coming down hard and she was barely making a dent, she was having fun. So I joined her.... but not to shovel. You see, the snow fall we had was slushy and wet, perfect for making nice snowballs. I threw one without her suspecting and it hit her straight in the back. She said, "MOM! Oh, it's on.....". And there started the snow ball war.
We were hitting each other left and right. Had some fun in the front yard and then ran to the backyard. My jeans were soaked.... my hair was soaked.... but I didn't care. It was a blast!
Later in the snow ball war she finally had the great idea of getting mom with a shovel full of snow. Here is a picture of her and me hiding in the garage....
So embrace the snow.... have a little fun.... and burn those extra calories!
We did eventually get the driveway and sidewalks shoveled. (Which worked up a sweat.... that snow was heavy!) And we dried out nicely inside afterwards with some hot soup!

How fun! Your snowball fight sounds like it was a great time. Jane and I stayed inside and watched it because she has a cold. I love skiing and snowshoeing in snow - just hate driving in it. Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow. 3345 days ago
