I'm going through some big changes right now and staying on track! My ex is moving out (finally!) and there are boxes stacked everywhere. I can't really put everything back in order until all his things are gone, so I've been working on my cleaning plan. Second, I've been struggling with staying in my calorie range. My new employer provides a free lunch, however the meal totals nearly 1000 calories every day. I just found this out, since the nutritional information is not readily available. I've been going over my limit almost every day, so I guess I wasn't really surprised to see the scale return to 268 pounds this past Friday.
That's 1.4 pounds in the wrong direction. D'oh! I was trying to be good until Thanksgiving to minimize the damage. Well, Kat, what can you do about this? I'll plan out every meal and snack with daily calorie totals so I know exactly where I stand. I am also trying to shave about 200 calories off each lunch from my employer, so I can stay in the lower end of my calorie range. I even planned in Thanksgiving, so I have a strategy of eating whole grains for breakfast and lunch, as well as fruit and dairy. These are the things I'll be missing in the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The second Thanksgiving on Saturday with a different part of my family will be at Ryan's, so I'll be sticking to the salad bar and veggie dishes, with serving or two of turkey and gravy, and one dessert. I can keep it under control this week!
I also lost my pedometer this week by leaving it in the restroom stall at the grocery store. I realized as I was heading to my car that I had left it in there, and it was gone! Nobody has turned it in to customer service, yet. My check is spent, so I can't buy another one for two weeks. On the plus side, I have gotten an idea of my routine and how many steps I usually get. I know how to get more steps in my day, so I'll do my best until then.
I'm also got extra calorie burned planned this week, to counteract the food
I hope it works! I'm also certain I'll meet my fitness minutes goal this month and have decided to raise my goal one minute for every day of December. That's 631 minutes next month. I will do it! I may have broken my 10 minute exercise streak, but I won't let it happen again. I'm going all the way to December 31st, buddy! I'll be living alone again, so I won't have anybody else's bad eating habits to blame for influencing me. I'll have to do my best and hold myself accountable!
I feel that I could have been trying harder this whole time; I could've lost more by now. I've been on SparkPeople for four years, but have yet to meet my goal weight. I know why. It's hard! The harder I have to try, the better I'll feel when I reach my goal! That's what I realized this past week. If I hold that in my mind, I'll relish the challenge, I know I can. I WILL WIN
