Hopeful but Funkified

Saturday, November 19, 2011

Thanks, Brenda, for posting this and reminding me.

I will keep telling this to myself, and I will try to remain positive.

I am just going through the motions this week, and that is good enough, I think. I am going to the gym, and not enjoying myself.. but I still have hope that the funk will pass and I will feel good again soon.

(This is SO true. I am thankful that I am in the habit, because I sure as heck don't have the motivation right now).

I am buying one of those full-spectrum lights for people with Seasonal Affective Disorder. I always get "the blues" in winter, but some years I have had full-blown depression which coincided with the turning of the seasons, and I just will not let that happen this year. If the light therapy doesn't do the trick, I will do everything in my power to curb this feeling and get my happiness back..

I am hopeful, though. Maybe light therapy will help.

You know I have been having scale issues too, so thank you for reminding ME!

Not all habits are good, but the fitness habit sure is. I haven't been feeling it the last few days either, but habit kept me going.

I hope that lamp works for you, I know how hard depression is. You deserve to be happy...and proud of yourself too, because you are doing so well.

    Take care of yourself!

Awwww, sweetie, I hope that the full spectrum light helps. My DS has SAD and it helps him. don't be afraid to get help, though, if it doesn't get better! You deserve to be happy. Truely!

Keep up the good work, keep on doing it. Even if you don't feel motivated right now, if your BODY goes through the motions, your brain will catch on!! HUGS.

Hopefully the light therapy will help out! The good thing is you are actively looking for ways to deal with that issue, which is always better than letting it take over your life. And I love the first image there - that's just oh so very true. And very good job on going to the gym even if you are in a funk. Determination!

You'll come out of your funk just fine. Proof positive is the very fact that you're pushing through and searching for ways to remedy the problem. I love the fact that you're still going to the gym regardless of how you're feeling, that says a lot about your character. You're an inspiration. I really hope the light therapy works for you. I've heard its quite effective.
