the things i do to hide my weight gain

Thursday, November 17, 2011

i had to laugh at myself several times yesterday for my absurdity, lol. It was my monthly ob appointment. Last month I gained 6lbs and this month I really wanted to maintain. I managed to do so up until the week before my stupid appointment. So I came up with a clever solution to hide my little gain.

When I weighed last month I wore jeans and tennis shoes which each weigh 1.5lbs adding 3lbs to my actual weight. So this time I opted for my crocs and the lightest clothing I own. I actually stood on the scale with pieces of clothing to see what weighed less, lol. I managed to show that I didn't gain anything when in all actuality i gained at least 1.5lb which is better than 6lbs.

But i had to sit and laugh at myself and the things I do to not let weight gain show. I plan on taking my shoes off next time to give myself .5lb cushion :) And the appointment after that well I dont suppose they would let me weigh in undies would they? Wait I think ill take the extra 2lbs over the embarrassment.

lol! with my last pregnancy I would switch off between tennis shoes and flip flops. Now, I sometimes don't bother even taking off my jacket. I never take off my shoes- they never tell me too anyways.

LOL - I took my shoes off at every appointment during my last pregnancy. Didn't help, I gained WAY too much. You're doing GREAT.

I think we've all done that! Though I've never weighed myself in different clothing to see which weighs less! haha

These are games we all play but eventually, we have removed all of the excess weight (clothing) and our only hope is to either lose weight or start removing limbs.

    Make it a great weekend
