To Everything There is a Season

Monday, November 14, 2011

I started last night with a dinner full of veggies: a healthier take on squash casserole, potatoes, carrots and mushrooms with the entree, steamed fresh green beans. There was also a lean meat, and no extra carbs in the form of breads.
I allowed myself a small brownie with some light ice cream for dessert, and when I found myself a little hungry later on, I munched on banana chips.

This morning I woke and took my resting pulse (51 - the lowest its ever been - woot!), then proceeded with some core exercises before I rose, then marching in place through my shower and other personal hygiene items, to get my heart rate up a bit, and kick-start my metabolism for the day.
I then prepared myself a breakfast with 327 calories, 23 grams of protein and only 8 grams of fat. I consumed it slowly, enjoying each bite, and allowing my body time to recognize that it was being fed.
I also remembered to take my multi-vitamin, anti-depressant, and birth control.

I even did a light dusting of color on my cheeks and eyes, because feeling like I look pretty makes me feel better and more motivated.

Today, I started well. And for now, that is an excellent springboard.

Your dinner sounds delicious and your breakfast with 23 grams of protein is awesome. I'd like to know what that was. Sometimes I feel cerealed to death but I do like it and add different fruits. So today you started well and you should feel very productive. I try to make sure I do something good and productive every day. It's a good springboard to everything else. Take care and so glad to have you here. Maggie
