Huzzah for sleep!

Sunday, November 13, 2011

Well, I don't know if it was just the fresh perspective after getting a good night's rest, or the fact that the full moon passed, or what, but I am feeling more like my usual chipper self. Still doesn't mean that I managed to leave Skyrim long enough to actually do anything physical...oops. Did manage to do MUCH better today on my calorie intake than I have the last couple of days, so that is something at least. And I found a 15 minute office workout today on SparkPeople that I think will be perfect for me when Barb and I get all the office work done and have nothing to do for hours. My, I love my job. *Watches the sarcasm flicker about the room like lightning*

My sister got some bad news today. Seems her beloved dog has Cushing's disease. The vet wants to do another blood test to determine which form of the disease he has. Type one can be treated with medication, but his lifespan will be two years if he is lucky. Type two, if caught early enough, can be eliminated through surgery--surgery that would have to take place somewhere like the University of Michigan, and cost close to $5000. I honestly don't know what to tell her. This dog is her baby and has been for years. I'm pretty sure she's not going to let him go without a fight, so I really hope that something can be figured out.

So other than my inability to pull myself away from my new game, my sister's dog essentially dying, and horrid people screaming at me at work for things I have no real control over, my life is pretty normal. I'm happy to be feeling better, and I just hope that whatever brought about that case of the blahs stays well away! I like being upbeat!
