Here comes the big test

Thursday, March 08, 2007

So, here comes a challenge; tomorrow morning I leave for Maine to celebrate my 43rd birthday with my parents. I already know I have to stop at Burger King & go out to Chinese buffet I'm trying to plan in advance by looking up what's the least damaging breakfast food I can eat at Burger King, and by trying to figure out what to have & not to have for Chinese lunch.....turns out that a Crossandwich with egg & cheese is less than 400 calories. So I think I'll go with that & maybe not eat all of it. As far as Chinese is concerned, I figure to start with hot & sour soup, then have maybe pork strips & green beans, and avoid the rice, eggrolls, anything batter fried like sweet & sour chicken. Oh, maybe a chicken teriyaki would be acceptable. Just have to try my best to keep on track, I guess!

I eat breakfast with a friend of mine at Bojangles once a week and have the same problem. Here a thought... the highest calorie content is in the crescent roll and cheese. Sometimes I'll just order a side of scrambled eggs and country ham. It's not on the menu but costs about the same.
