Where to Start? - Start Over

Saturday, November 12, 2011

I finished training as a CNA. After 14 months of nothing, I have found and secured employment. Its not a permanent gig, but it is good experience for being brand new in the medical field. When this private, indeterminate contract runs out, I should be employable in home health, assisted living, or nursing facilities. Its a good thing.

However, financial concerns caused me to have to freeze my membership at the gym. My 20 mile commute each way eats nearly two hours of my day. My work is exhausting. I have little energy.

Since the last weight I posted here I have gained 13.5 pounds.

Its time to re-evaluate. And then - start over.

You don't have to figure it out all in one day. Get that protein in your system so your metabolism works well and walk at work as much as possible. Drink that water as much as you can on your drive to and from work. We must remember we're not on diets. We're just changing some habits and living better ones. There's no time limit and you don't have to take it all off in a week. Be kind to yourself. You've had some really good accomplishments in the past months and certainly reached those goals. You'll reach these as well. And just by hanging out with us will be a good help as well. My spark friends have been so helpful to me, even more so than the teams. Use for yourself what works best for you!!! Welcome back, I've missed you and was really happy to see you surface. Maggie
