Veteran's Day - my thoughts

Friday, November 11, 2011

My dad was a sailor during WWII and I've never tired of his stories. My ex-husband was in the Army during Vietnam. We were lucky that he ended up in Germany (he knew how to touch-type and became Colonel's clerk.) I've never forgotten all the GI's that we knew or met, especially the ones had done time in 'Nam. Their burdens were many and their nightmares were horrific.

Every member of the military deserves to be honored and respected. And so much more needs to be done for these brave and committed men and women - not just today, but every day. Show your appreciation when the opportunity arises and keep them in your prayers every day!
