Motivated by Results

Tuesday, November 08, 2011

I have always been the type of person that is motivated by results. In the past when it came to weight loss, those results would send me spiraling out of control in the other direction. I would lose a few pounds. Then I'd think I could allow myself a few treats, "Aye, what could it hurt?" Next thing I know, I'd gained that weight back plus a few more extra pounds. This time around has been completely different. The loss this time keeps me from overeating. It keeps me mindful of what I stick in my mouth at all times. It has motivated me to start back exercising so that I can keep this momentum going. I think I will keep going as long as I see results. I am aware that plateaus will happen, but I have learned from other Sparkers that plateaus can be busted. I am moving full steam ahead!!!

Sounds wonderful is these moments of realization that add an oomph to this long long road ahead. I know exactly what you mean too!

Often, it could be a deep fear that makes us put on the weight back again. unfortunately, then we just end up spiralling down because of all the negative self talk and if onlys. It's a chicken and egg situation.

But, that is the old you. This new you is ready for anything aye! !
