No Wheat Still

Tuesday, November 08, 2011

I can't believe I am still working on this no wheat diet. It has been easier to forgo the bread. However with the holidays approaching and all those wonderful family traditional meals, and grandma's yeast rolls, it will be hard. The only thing that might be keeping me back from the bread is a reaction I had to a flat bread subway sandwich last week. I was out away from home and nothing else around and I was starving. Since I do not eat salads I went with the best choice I could make. I was sick with "tummy troubles" the rest of the day and night. So I honesty feel that I am at least sensitive to wheat. I am now wanting to go see an allergist to confirm my thoughts. I am also having issues with a few old allergies so it would be good to be rechecked.
Wish me luck on keeping away from the bread over the next few months of heaving traveling and holiday festivities.

Just remember what can happen if you eat WHEAT - the pain , discomfit. You don't want your holidays ruined. You can do it!!!

I must admit that getting sick because of a food issue can be a real "boost" to your weight loss plan! LOL

    It isn't much fun, though...

Just remember how you feel right now, and you should have little trouble sticking to your plan!...

You have been doing really well at keeping away from wheat - it really does seem to be the culprit in your diet. Have you tried gluten free flour in your baking? Would that work ok I wonder? You have shown a lot of determination over this and I am sure you will keep your resolve during Thanksgiving! Good luck - you deserve it! Hugs!
