Interesting quote - really needed this today

I just spotted this quote on someone's page and I just wanted to share it. Something I really need to bear in mind, especially today:

"It takes ONE MONTH to feel the difference, TWO MONTHS for others to see the difference, and THREE MONTHS for you to see the difference".

I find it so funny that I came across this today, because it is SO relevant to me today. I have a great great friend at work, in fact I would say that he is my best friend in life at the moment, absolutely adore him, we started talking at work a year ago and now we are best buddies. Anyway, I digress emoticon So, I told him this morning that I weighed in yesterday and lost 4.6 pounds. And he already knew that the week before I had lost 2.2 pounds. He was like 'Wow! That's really good'....and here's the cruncher...'But to be honest, I can't see any difference'.

I kinda shrugged it off, cos that's fair enough, if he doesn't see it then fine, he doesn't see it. But still, it did kinda burn me a little bit.

And then, coincidentally, I came across this quote. And it's so true. Not that it should matter for other people to notice. I guess I'm just being vain and wanting assurance that what I'm doing is working. I should just know that myself.

Anyway, this was meant to be a short one hahaha I'm shutting up now.

    Oh just you wait! For me, it was like I reached a tipping point, and EVERYBODY noticed. Just be glad that you've got a friend that you know is honest, and that when he says he does see the difference, it will mean a whole lot more to you than if he had lied! You're doing great, as we can see by that fabulous weight loss. And if you feel the difference then it's there! Just stick it out, and you'll be receiving hundreds of compliments in no time! :)

    It's true, it's true. And when people DO see a difference, it can be overwhelming.

    A few months ago I ran into a bunch of folks I hadn't seen in quite awhile. They all exclaimed over my weight loss. One man said "You've lost a third of yourself!"

    (Funny how I found the comments a bit embarassing.)

    What you are doing IS working and don't worry, the comments will come and when they do it could be a whole different bundle of "problems".

    As Rosaeanne Roseannadan said, "It's always something!"

    Congratulations on your significant weight loss so far. You are truly doing a great job!!!!
