New Day?

Sunday, November 06, 2011

I got a lot done this weekend, but one thing I did not do was get to the gym. My foot started acting up again (and this is really getting annoying to tell you the truth) and I have been eating well but nothing else. I need to find a new plan for my fitness minutes. I am just getting really tired of having to stop and start over and over again with this foot problem. It feels like it keeps derailing me.

I am probably not going to have a voice tomorrow because of the game (go Ravens!) , but I should be able to type. Here's to a better tomorrow.

The foot problem is that I get ulcers rather easily on the balls of my feet, and as a result of the surgeries the toes on both of my feet curl up and rub against my shoes and get blistered up and easily infected (and since I wear compression stockings the sweat from working out also hangs around longer than it would normally). Unfortunately a trampoline wouldn't help. I can't use a pool because of the open areas on my feet (not sanitary for them OR me), so I am pretty much reduced to stationary biking only. The problem is that I can't wear open toed shoes to the gym (for reasons I completely understand) and since I did re-blister the other day I cannot wear anything NOT open toed without a decent amount of pain. So I have to figure out what to do next. But thanks for the thoughts. I'll get it worked out so that I can get me worked out.

I bought myself a mini trampoline a very long time ago, and my reasoning was that it is supposed to be much less stressful on one's joints -- I wonder if this would apply to your feet as well; if it could be something you could do in sock- or bare-feet? Worth checking out ...

    Wish you the best:)

Sorry you're having problems with your foot. I know from experience how horrible foot pain is. I deal with it constantly. I'm still looking for the right shoes so that I can go for a walk and not have pain in my feet. Much luck to you in finding a new plan for your fitness.
