Can You Keep With a Five Year Old.

Sunday, November 06, 2011

Prior to March of this year there was no way I could activity keep up with a four year old. Then over the winter of 2010, I realized I was not a happy person. Watching her play and wanting me to play with her was hard and at times painful. emoticon When that light bulb went of in this aging head, I knew, right there and then what I wanted and needed to do. Needless to say, I did it.

The next day I started searching the Web for some answers. Found more than I wanted at fist then I landed at Spark, read, printed and reviewed all the programs available in the program. The next Doctors visit i had, I presented all the information on Spark that I had found and printed out and presented the information to her. She asked if she could hang on to the information and naturally I said yes. Knew my next visit would be in 4 months, so my work was cut out for me.

I started that evening, arranging what I used often up on a higher shelf, organized the kitchen and bedroom cabinets and closets. Started talking a nightly walk around the neighborhood and got up 30 minutes earlier to exercise. This went on for three weeks, then I started focusing in on nutrition. In three weeks i was headed for dive days with my four year old grandchild. This time I was ready to show myself I Could Do It.

Boy, did I surprise myself and the little one, she is Still Smiling. That visit accomplished 30 minutes of Wii exercise a day, a walk around two acres, Bounce Ball around the back yard ( 1 acre ) 2 times. a months later, we did 45 minutes of Wii exercise plus 15 minutes of my cardio. every-other day with 5 minutes with jumping rope 2 times a day. Walking increased to 4 of the 7 acres they own. When the little one turned five, I was in for it BIG TIME.

She now has me my own exercise bag, with my own dumbbells, jump rope, and a brand new walking stick with granny engraved on the stick. So has watched me complete my fitness plain, now she is doing mine, hers and now Mommy's, She started last week working with my Nutrition Tracker, she says " I'm getting the hang of it.

Could I keep up with a Five year old, not before March 2011. Can I keep up with a five year old now. Yep, I've got her number now. This blonds, blue eyed five year old has been and still is my motivation, encouragement and greatest supporter. There is no one better.

This month she turns six, so the story continues.

Can you keep with a five year old going on Six?
