Week 1 - Defeated

Friday, November 04, 2011

Well, November is not off to the start I'd hoped for. I spent all day in bed sick on Wednesday, as well as most of the day yesterday. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to get up and get moving last night and this morning. The weather has been so crazy here this week that the majority of people around where we live are sick. I wasn't even able to walk around without getting light-headed. I've managed to still get my water intake and article reading done. LOL

I did, however, get a treat today. Tony finally realized that the one pair of jeans I still have are no longer going to work - they are so big on me that I just look like a slob in them. I got to pick out a new outfit today, which is nice since I have no cold weather clothing anyway, and I really needed something nice to wear to photo shoots. I not only tried on a pair of skinny jeans, which I never pictured myself in, but I bought a pair in size 9! :) And let me tell you, my hubby hasn't quit talking about how skinny I look in them. I'll be sure to have him take a picture tomorrow that I can post. He's been so supportive throughout my weightloss journey, commenting regularly on how proud he is of me, but I don't think it hit him until today just how hard I've worked.

Thanks to all of my SP friends who have sent their warm get well soon wishes - I'm elated that I'm finally starting to feel a little better. I had to leave the house today since our carpets were being cleaned and there was nowhere to sit... the cool fresh air seems to be helping.

    emoticon Skinny Jeans!
Way to start the holiday season off right. The great thing about skinny jeans is that they don't let you "grow", like some of our other clothes can! And I love that your hubby is so supportive. That is lovely.
Continued best to you in achieving all your goals and wishing you a Happy Holiday season!

I don't get the skinny jeans anymore...I think it's because that's what I wore in high school...not my 40's... emoticon although I will admit to one pair to wear with my boots...

Great job this week....even sick you pull it put... emoticon
