Loverboy Song Goes Here

Friday, November 04, 2011

Like everybody else I am in fact working for the weekend (which is now approximately 2.5-3 hours away). I am looking forward to hanging out with friends tonight, hosting a playoff game tomorrow for the trivia company I work for part time and Sunday is time for God, pancake breakfast, and then football (in that order).

I do feel better than I did yesterday (thank you all for the kind words and encouragement). I suppose 60 minutes on the stationary bike helped get my endorphins a little higher (but that seat made my butt hurt something awful. What is up with that?!?), and spending a little quality time w/Wifey (including at the gym where she has been joining me at least once a week and so far I have not spontaneously combusted despite my worst fears of exercising in front of her) also helped out.

Hope you all have a great weekend. I know I am going to keep Sparking all weekend long (something I have not been so good about in the past) and I will see you soon (or at least I will see some electronic simulation of you based on your chosen avatar)!

60 minutes is awesome! I highly recommend the gel seat covers or padded undies! As a woman, I prefer the seat covers.... No reason to make my booty look even bigger! They do help even on those dreadful spinning bikes! I can't get my husband to do more than drop me off at the gym!

45 minutes is pretty much my upper limit on the bike. I put on an episode of some old television series and we both end about the same time as I waddle off to find something more comfortable to sit on.

I do hear those gel seats are an amazing help (Of course, I don't even know what they look like). Have you read JENNSWIMS latest blog ... I believe she just bought one to combat painful butt syndrome.

I am glad you are looking to solve your problem rather than just giving up on the bike. That helps no one!

    Have a great weekend;)

    That's the spirit!!! emoticon emoticon

Re the bike seat - visit a bike supply store and see about getting the gel type seats, or
covers for seats. My youngest daughter did a 200 km ride for cancer this summer and
found that the gel seat helped immensely!

    Have an awesome weekend!

I do like walking, but I have had ongoing problems w/ulcers on my feet so I try to use the bike as much as possible to alleviate the pounding that the feet take. I think the bigger problem was the 60 minutes. But thank you for the encouragement and much luck and success to you as well!
