I'm not a blogger. But this weekend's BLC challenge includes writing a blog about your own successes. So my reflection for today is my journey over the last couple of years.

I found SP a little over 2 years ago and joined BLC. It was there that I was motivated and found what I needed inside me to take off those 40 lbs. that I had put on over the years. My biological father died at a young age -53- from complications of being overweight and diabetes. I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant. My doctor warned me that as I got older - I had all the markers for following in his footsteps with diabetes, obesity, and an early death. I started to take it all very seriously as I was 55. Through the first 2 rounds of BLC, I lost all the weight and made exercise a part of my daily life.

Over the last few months I put some weight back on my doing what we all can do - getting lazy about tracking. But I will say, and this is the success I will claim - that I never stopped the exercising. I stayed fit and have become more and more fit as time goes by - and with the help of this round of BLC - I am BOT (Back on Track!) with the nutrition w/just a few lbs. to go to get back to goal weight. In the meantime, my NSV claim is that even though I am a few pounds heavier, my clothes all still fit because I have toned and built more muscle by not giving up on the exercising.

That's it for today. Hurray for SP!! It has helped me so much. My next Blog for the challenge will be my success in my newly found (going on 2 year) running career emoticon
