Hello! Happy Day 2!
So let me recap yesterday, I kept my eating in check, not counting calories but thinking about food before i put it into my mouth. i made cod, bulgur and asparagus for dinner and it was quite delish! for my workout i put in about 20 minutes of random cardio/ st in the garage then ran up my stairs 10 times. I didn't feel like working out but a buddy at work told me, "no one ever says they wish they hadn't worked out" it's so true, you regret when you don't do it, not when you do!!
today we had a spaghetti feed at work. i particpated BUT i took 1/4 of the regular serving of pasta, mainly marinara sauce, only a dab of the alfredo, one serving of the garlic bread, salad with no dressing and the tiniest little slice of cake i could find, then i knocked off the icing! sounds like a lot when i type it all out like that but i don't feel over full. i didn't deprive myself but i kept my portion in check. some people had HEAPING plates and i felt so bad for them when i watched them cover their noodles in alfredo sauce!!! i don't think they knew it could be so bad for them!
also, we got a call yesterday from the YMCA. we had applied for financial assistance and they granted us 10% so it will "only" be 81.00 for James, Me, and KK to have a membership. still sounds like so much but i guess it is well worth it to have a fun healthy place to do family activites together. plus all of kk's swim classes and dance classes will be included with our membership. i have been working out for the last several years on the naval base that i work for, it's been free but after all this time i need some change. plus they don't have programs for kids like the Y does.
I will be updating again tomorrow. I'm so excited about this new leg of my journey. i've lost 80 lbs already and now want to kick off this next 15 so i can re-assess. just think, when i lose these 15 lbs i will be just about 150 lbs! woohoo, NEVER in my adult life have I been that small....I was 190 lbs in 9th grade for crying out loud!
ok friends, i'm off to look schedule my workout plan for the week!
