November Already!?! Goals and photos

Tuesday, November 01, 2011

It's that time again - time to set new goals for the month. Since I didn't meet last month's goals, I'm going to start with those:
- Drink 64 oz of water everyday.
- Complete at least 30 minutes of cardio 6 days each week.
- Complete strength training 5 days each week.

And even though it has nothing to do with my weightloss, I want to read at least one photography-related article every day, in addition to a SP article. My plan is to start doing courses through the New York Institute of Photography wtih income taxes next year, so I figure if I get a headstart on learning more about the technical side that it couldn't hurt.

So... I promised ya'll a picture of me dressed up for Halloween yesterday. I have 3 gothic dresses I got in New Orleans a few years ago. I normally use those to dress as a vampire, though they can almost be used for other costumes as well. The one in this photo could even be used as a pirate costume with a few props. LOL

The kids made out like bandits last night. Tony got stuck at work and didn't get home until after 7. Daisha started trick-or-treating with the neighbor. They finished early since the kids are younger. Keiran finally realized what he was missing out on so I took the kids back out to finish going through the complex. He refused to put his costume on, so it just laid on the couch looking sad:

After Tony and I went through all of their candy, this is what they ended up with:

I'd be lying if I said I haven't had candy at all today. I have, however, done really well with self-control. I have allowed myself to have a couple of pieces and that's it. We busted our butts today getting all of the Halloween decorations down and Tony has already brought the Christmas stuff up from storage. It is in our storage closet off the patio though. He needs to go through and figure out what he's going to need and what needs to be replaced. I just get to decide what crafts I'm going to do for the holidays. I know I want to make another wreath, only larger to hang from the patio railing rather than on the door. I've found some great techniques so need to decide which ones to use. LOL
