October in a nutshell (with photos)
Monday, October 31, 2011
I have to say that I can't complain too much about how October went. It started off great, though it hasn't ended so well. This last weekend was hectic and nonstop. I worked cardio in whenever I could, but tracking my food and getting in strength training didn't even come close to happening.
Up until this last weekend, I had met all of my goals for the month. I ended up getting in my 8 glasses of water everyday no matter what. I got at least 30 minutes of cardio in at least 6 days a week all month long except for this last week. And my strength training went so much better this month as compared to the last couple. Even though I didn't get in much this past week to meet my monthly goal, I have no complaints.
My photography has really started to take off this past month. I have booked a few more gigs for the upcoming months, I'm working with our apartment complex to hopefully set up in the office to do some family shoots to residents for the holidays, and I've been a busy bee editing the wedding photos I shot last weekend (which are almost done).
Halloween is today and as it turns out, our town is doing trick-or-treating tonight after all. YAY! The kids are excited - and we finally got Keiran in his costume on Saturday. We tried to do the costume contest at our complex's Fall Festival, though it didn't work so well. He was fighting by that time to get his costume off so we gave in. Daisha did, however, win for the age group that both of my kids were in.
Tony did win the patio decorating contest, which made him happy since this was the 2nd year in a row. He's already started planning for Christmas now. LOL Our neighbors downstairs don't do much for outdoor decorating so have given him permission to also use their patio. He'll have double the space for lights - God help me! He'd go "Griswald" if I'd let him. Somehow though, no matter how many lights he puts up, he keeps it tasteful.
We finally got our pumpkins carved last night. Here's the finished products:
