Sometimes a person can walk into my house and see a very organized person with simple, neat taste. Other times, like recently, I will not invite people into my home because it is a cluttered, dusty mess! This is a sign that I am overwhelmed. Another issue that I have when I am overwhelmed is that I eat to comfort myself. I tell myself that I will start eating better, and cleaning, tomorrow. Right now I need a break. Well, guess what! Tomorrow never comes!
I've joined a new challenge through the Fans of John Stewart and Stephen Colbert team. For the next three months we will set weekly goals. This week I have a goal of tracking all of my food, exercising for at least 20 minutes six times, and dusting and de-cluttering. Yesterday my awesome husband helped me dust and clean the entire master bedroom. We pulled furniture out that hadn't been moved since I don't remember when and dusted behind it. We filled two kitchen sized trash bags with items for Goodwill, some are clothes that still have the tags on them. I'm dropping them off this afternoon. Why? Because I really can't put it off until tomorrow. I need to grab this momentum and run with it! I already feel better!
Get to it and clean out your house, your eating and your life! I have a feeling this momentum is going to spread into all areas of my life...
