Challenge To Do, But Not Overdo

Yesterday I did a half hour walking workout, then took both kids for a stroller ride including up a hill, and after the kids went home -- after supper but earlier than usual -- I inflated my tires and rode my bike. So I worked out about 55 minutes instead of my scheduled 30. It felt good. I even threw a few running intervals in the walk. First I did 20 running steps, then 40, then 100 twice.
I was feeling a little sore from the strength workout the day before. I think it was the walking lunges that got to my quads and glutes. Today I feel tired. Think I'll take a day off of cardio and stick to that original cardio workout plan of 30 minutes, 5 days a week, and strength three times a week. Think I'll just do strength here at home again today.
DD (Dear Daughter) starts her new job tomorrow. She'll be working 8am-5pm five days a week at the health department. She'll be working Tuesday eves and Sundays doing massage and she substitutes at Weight Watchers meetings. She hasn't had a regular meeting since her pregnancy, but may get one. Also, if everything goes right this week, she and family will be moving to their new home in early November. So I expect to have the kids long hours. Getting my workouts in will be more of a challenge, but I will do it!!
While I'm getting back up to speed, endurance, and strength it is very important that I gradually build up my workouts. I need to do those workouts, but not overdo.
