Amazing medical appointment

I had the most amazing appointment today! emoticon

We spent more than an hour going over my medical history, current conditions, changes in conditions, what I want short term, where I want to go long term and then things that I may not have considered. She asked me in detail about what I eat, what supplements I use, how I exercise, what my stress levels are like .... and on and on. She listened to me and asked great questions. Not until we had gone thru all of that - did she begin a physical exam. I turns out my hips are not well aligned and she recommended a visit to a chiropractor. This may or may not have contributed to my injury - which it turns out is a strained ligament.

Then she looked at my tongue - and told me a whole lot about what was going on with me. It was uncanny some of the stuff she was telling me. Then we moved on to acupressure and then needles and energy healing. After about 45 minutes of treatments, I felt just amazing! I was so relaxed and actually happy. And NO PAIN at all for several hours. I have just a little bit tonight but already better than yesterday.

I have a second appointment on Friday afternoon. The downside is that I can not run again until 2 weeks after the last time I feel discomfort in my hip. I am officially not going to run or walk the half marathon. But we are going to heal me up so that I can run for the rest of my life!

All in all - a very successful appointment. For the first time since I moved to Florida, I feel like I have my health in the hands of someone who cares and who has the knowledge to really help me be HEALTHY - not just fix up all the little things as they come along.

Sounds like the Medical Dr I used to go to who treated with Acupuncture. He was (is) brilliant! They treat holistically - after all, everything we eat/drink and do interacts with various parts of our body in some way or other.

Sure sounds like you got your money's worth :-)

Sounds like a natural path doctor and that is great.

So glad you found someone willing to take the time and listen then investigate your trouble. Sorry about you missing the run but it is better for the long term.
