My cough has finally gone away after 5 weeks of hacking! Yesterday I went to the gym and did a little over a half hour on the elliptical. I didn't push it and I could tell I'm not at the same level I was before I got sick. But I haven't lost a great deal. I'll be back up to speed and endurance in a month, I'd guess. We'll see.
Likewise for the strength training. Take the horizontal squat machine. I originally started at 88 pounds and that was a challenge nearly two years ago. I have done as much as 202 pounds, but before I got sick I could do 176 without strain. Yesterday I tried 132 pounds and it was easy, so I went up to 154. I'll regain my strength soon.
