Well, I have had plenty of ups and downs this past year including being poisoned by cantaloupe. Wow that was the most horrible ordeal I had ever had with illness. I have been struggling with energy and sluggishness since my illness, not to mention motivation. Since my husband and I drive team in a big truck, it is very hard to attempt a regular exercise routine. So...I have decided to start simple with the jump rope routine I just watched in the Spark People exercise page. This seems to be something I can do just outside the truck when I am getting ready for my nightly driving routine. I am calling all my friends to help cheer me on! I have motivation issues and need to hear from my friends to help me gain the motivation I need to keep me going. All I want is to get healthy again. Since I sit driving for 10-11 hours a day, my hips, knees, thighs, calves, and ankles take a beating. I get cramps in my butt, hip and legs daily. So I think that the jump rope routine will be good for my situation. It will work out the areas I need to keep limber and flexible, as well as my cardio. And, if there is bad weather, I can fake the rope thing and go through the same motions with out the rope right inside the cab of our truck, I have just enough room to jump in place and do the stretching needed for this routine. I can't wait to get started. Ready, set, here we go......It's time to get jumping!!! emoticon

    Hey Kathy. Its been a really long time since I was even on Spark People! But I have been going through some health issues and am ready to JUST GET HEALTHIER THAN I WAS LAST YEAR!
    That is it! Sounds simple enough and most importantly I am not ADDING stress of I got to lose weight and darn it I didnt do it..again..this year!
    I love your idea of getting a jump rope. An inexpensive peice of equipment and I am sure that you can feel the cardio even after just 5minutes, huh?
    You are doing great. I like your pictures and I can see some change there. So keep up the awesome work!
