Too dang cold

I might be getting old or something but I cant take cold like I use too! When I was a kid I could go outside in the snow in shorts and a t-shirt. Now if the temp drops just a bit, i'm freezing my butt off! I walked the track yesterday in the cold in shorts and a tshirt but this morning its colder. So, im going to wait a bit so it will warm up before I go out. I did buy some long pants yesterday for walking purposes. During the summer I bought a short sleeved hoodie, i'm looking forward to trying out today!

I did weigh myself monday but only lost 1lb last week. I'm planning on weighing myself tomorrow just to see how my weekend impacts my weight. I do need to be more active during the weekend and also control my eating. Well, I guess im going to get ready for my walk now. Have a great day!

    I honestly can say that I don't go out i the middle of Winter when it is under 30 degrees to do any kind of exercise. I do circuit and aerobic exercise right inside my house 7 days a week! Occasionally I will get out and run if I can tolerate the cold. I heard this Friday in Illinois it is supposed to be back up in the 60's! Hmmmm great day for me to get out and run! emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I just hate the cold! I'm trying not to let it get to me. It's so easy for me to make excuses to stay in bed longer because it's so warm. It's not just us, my dogs (chihuahua's) who in the summer want to wake me up at 5 am, are now burrowed deep under the covers in the morning and refuse to come out to go to the bathroom. But if I had to go outside to use the bathroom I think I'd be hiding too.

    metabolism slows down...I am always freezing! it has to be 70 with sun beating on me to ditch a jacket or long sleeve. and even when the house is at 68 thru the winter, I'm in 3 layers of tops and slippers.
    Great job on getting out there! Keep adding layers as you need them so there is NO excuse for not being out exercising in all weather. Well, ice maybe-but there are yaktrax for that.
