Well, I see it has been quite some time since my last blog. I didn't think it was as long as it was, but one of my team members from the Fit Buckeyes kindly reminded me. I am slowly losing this weight. I had a weight loss of 3.8 pounds this week. I have also lost a total of 3 inches in the past 4 weeks. So I am a little proud of this accomplishment.

Well, the thermal ablasion I had last month didn't solve the problem. So I am currently scheduled to have a hysterectomy on November 2. However, I think I am going to postpone it. Christmas is coming. If I have it on the date scheduled, there won't be a Christmas in our house this year...again. Plus, I am not going to have enough time to cover all the time off work I will need right now. So calling the doctor tomorrow to postpone it until next year. Until then, I will just deal with the pain and bleeding.

I am doing ok on my workouts...but I could be doing much better. I need to get a plan written up on what I want to do and then stick to it. I am just always so tired until I get home from work. Don't get me wrong, I am stilll getting in a workout...mostly from working with the gentleman I take care of at work. He is a very restless, extremely active, aggressive individual.

That brings me to my next new piece of information. I entered to do a virtual 5k. Since I couldn't find any locally on any of my days off work, I figured this would be the next best thing. Hoping to keep my time under 45 minutes. But no matter my time, it is my first one and will be better than not having done it at all.

Well that is about it for now. I will end with I hope everyone is doing great with their own journey. See you all on the flip side.

Wishing you the best and I hope your surgeon feels it's ok to put your surgery off. I'd probably just want it over with but I sure understand where you're going from on wanting to have a real Christmas. Take Care.

(((hugs)))) Taryn. I am glad you are taking care of this.. it has gone on long enough. I totally understand wanting to wait until after Christmas. I hated moving last year just a week before Christmas.. it stole it for our family and this year I am planning to go ALL OUT! lol.

As for the 5K.. YAY! I am training too. I will do one and going to try for a 16 min mile for the whole race.. a bit slower than you but I can't run or jog on my foot. will be an improvement over what I can manage now.. so I have to get serious. :)

YAY on your loss this week! Just the beginning!

Great job - you are getting scale and non-scale victories!! I'm impressed!

Sorry that you have to put off your surgery, but I understand. I had a hysterectomy on December 2nd of 2009 - we had Christmas but I didn't get to participate as much as I normally would have. I hope that you will get to have it as soon as you are ready after the holidays!

Good luck with your training plan and with your virtual 5K - I know you'll do great!! emoticon
