Day 3

I had to drive myself into work today (I usually carpool). For reasons best left for another blog (or therapy if need be) I was up and ready to leave a good bit of time before I actually HAD to leave (I was ready even before I usually am for the carpool pick up). Almost immediately the part of my brain that I am on a journey to correct started telling me to grab the keys because if I leave now I will be able to go to the Hardee's near work and get breakfast (my first ever "real" job was at Hardee's, and their breakfast stuff has always been the best around as far as fast food goes). The part of my brain that is trying to do the changing kept telling me that I didn't want Hardee's, I wanted that yogurt and the healthy breakfast bar.

As a side note, I can tell you that right now the healthy side of my brain is in the minority so far as knowing what the body wants. But it is really trying to convince the taste buds and the stomach that fat free, low calorie yogurt is the bestest breakfast ever. And that raw spinach and balsamic vinaigrette are more delicious than a Baconater and large fries. The battle continues...

Well, I am currently sitting in my half cubicle (we don't have the luxury of full cubicle walls), drinking water and digesting my Dannon Light and Fit Nonfat Vanilla Yogurt and my Zone Perfect Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar. Now comes the test of "Fat free smoked turkey and a high fiber whole wheat tortilla versus a big box of Royal Farms Fried Chicken for lunch because I have to go to Home Depot and the Royal Farms is right across the street".

Let's see who wins THIS one.
