Listening to My Body

It tells me what I need, I just need to listen. Yesterday I wanted a steak, I need protein! So today I got some hummus with whole wheat pita bread for snack, I'm going to make avacado deviled eggs, and I'll figure out a high protein dinner. I've been doing a mostly vegetarian diet so I need to keep an eye on my protein intake, which I haven't been. I haven't been tracking my foods because I'm not concerned with calorie tracking as much as I am about making healthy choices, but I need to track other nutrients so I'm going to have to start tracking my foods for a while to make sure I'm getting a good mix. Meal planning needs to happen too. It's easier to make sure I'm getting everything I need by planning out my meals ahead of time. I'm down another couple of pounds so I'm very excited! I have good energy and feel great, doing something right!
