getting started

Even though it says I started on Oct. 4th, I really have only started going on here this week. This is ALOT harder than I thought. Even when I have the time to do the exercise I make excuses as to why i'll do them later instead. Or when I go to do them I realize how physically fit I really am NOT! Its also challenging to not have any friends on here yet. I joined a group but I think I read something about doing a challenge in April which Im guessing means they havent used the group discussion forum in a while. Maybe I read wrong. ANYWAY...ENOUGH W THE COMPLAINING!! That was the old me. On with the new me! Its time to make a change! I want to feel like my old self again...confident!! I will do this! I would love to make my page look cool and get one of those ticker things to have a different design. Alot of people have the turtle one. I think thats so cute but it wasnt on the designs I picked from. I guess besides the exercising more I need to get some friends on here to motivate me. Anyone that has read this and would like a partner in losing weight crime, hit me up!

    It's unbelievable how many people or should I say anyone at All (!!) Wrote back to my first blog and so quickly! It makes me feel like I made the right choice signing up for help here. Plus it made me so happy that I got the motivation to go outside right after and walk at a quick pace for 50 minutes! So thanks for the support! emoticon

    emoticon Some groups aren't as active as others, but keep trying to find one that fits you! Don't worry, soon you'll be making incredible progress and it will be so much fun to look back and see how far you've come!

    Hi there !! I know what you mean about it being overwhelming at the beginning, I started 3 weeks ago and probably still don't know half of BUT I am really enjoying SP and have lost 8lbs so far. I belong to a team called Dandy Lions which is very active and supportive :) I think the tracking is one of the most important things to get down as it really keeps me on track !Then reading all the success stories is awesome !! Have fun and keep going ! emoticon

    I am the same way with exercise, I always say I will do it later and never do. So this week I made a point of getting up early to work out. And if I really don't have time, I do one of the SparkPeople 10-minute videos. They are super fast and at least I know I have done something before my day gets hectic.

    Welcome to SparkPeople! It takes some time to get going on this, that's why the first stage is a time for learning. Don't beat yourself up! You have taken the first step to better health! Make some friends, join some groups, click on everything! You will get the hang of it and all the tools offered on this sight are life changing! You can do this! emoticon
