Good News?

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

I had an appointment yesterday with a cardiologist to try and find out what is causing me to have chest tightness. I really didn't believe that it was my heart but I'm not a doctor! Well, the cardiologist doesn't think it is my heart either. That is good news.

I went to a gastroenterologist a couple of months ago and they said it's not my stomach! So what is causing it? I'm getting frustrated!

Another good thing about my appointment yesterday, she told me that I have a "touch" of asthma. I know, good news!! What planet am I from!! It is good news to me because now I know why I can't take a deep breath when I'm exercising. After trying for a couple of minutes to take a deep breath, I end up quitting. It freaks me out when I can't breathe!

Well, back to the family doctor in a couple of weeks to see where we go from here! Ready for someone to figure this out!

Went for a follow up last week. They are still not sure what is going on other than spasms in my esophagus. Meds seem to be helping with that. Still having problems but not as bad. I can deal with these.

Also, they have also giving an inhaler for my asthma. I started using it last week but it didn't seem to help much. I'm going to give a week or two to see if it gets better before saying anything to the doctor.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and support! It really means a lot to me.

I know you must be anxious. I'm sure the doctors will get to the bottom of it. Just hang in there. Sounds like a good heart and that's is good news! Keep us posted.

Do you think it could be anxiety? It could be asthma though.
