When I started aqua aerobics a few months ago it was mainly a step to my first fitness goal -to do an hour of laps. That first day I was able 'nice to only do 2 laps! and it was hard. Today, I do 10 minutes after water aerobics on MWF and now I am adding laps on TTh -was able to do 30 minutes. I changed my goal to doing laps but keeping the water aerobics 3x a week. The water aerobics provides a lot of good stretching and some good exercise. It's always great to see improvement and look forward to reaching that goal of an hour of laps... You burn twice the calories doing laps than you do in water aerobics.
