Re-evaluating and executing a new plan

Sunday, October 09, 2011

So my initial strategy was a bust. I did not see the numbers I expected. But, it was not a complete loss. I proved to myself that it DOES take diet and exercise to make this thing happen. I now have to apply some critical thinking skills and reflect on what I know has worked in the past and what has been proven to work for so many. I WILL continue to exercise but I think it's time to ramp up the intensity and frequency. I know myself--so I will also have to introduce some variety before I get bored and give up all together. My plan, insha'allah,is to incorporate some HIIT into my walking routine for this month. I also intend to lay off the meat. There are some fellow Sparkers who have had great success with vegetarianism and I think I will give it a try again.

I have tried going veggie a few times before over the past two years and I always gave back in to the call of chicken. Maybe this time will be different. I have never stuck with exercising this long so I have to assume that my journey this time is different so my results will be different.

So, I am rededicating myself to vegetarianism beginning Monday morning and the rest of my life. I'm on the treadmill first thing in the morning to finish up my 5k training, and remaining positive for better results on the next weigh-in on November 8th.

I agree to Fathinsn , veggie is not a choice for me either. Allah subhanaho wa ta3la give us all these blessing to enjoy it, so I disagree with you about this

I never get the concept of being veggie. There are nutrients that can only be found in animals and as I'm still not good with supplements, I think being veggie is not a choice for me, for now. But I'm still admire those who managed to forgo any kind of meat or animal products, that takes full determination, I guess.

    Good Luck!!!
