flying squirrel, toe shoes...

Friday, October 07, 2011

Good news first, the baby flying squirrel is still alive. He's drinking puppy milk out of a little puppy bottle. I'm going to have to post a picture for you all the see. It's sooo small! Sometimes it rolls itself into a little ball while sleeping, I think he could hit on a quarter with room to spare! I just hope he lives so I can release him into the wild.

Well today was my first time wearing my Fila skele-toes 2.0 shoes. They are very different and will take a little time to get use too. The Fila shoes are a different then the Vibram. What I have read the Fila shoes have a little thinker sole. Anyway, I did notice that I changed up the way I walked some and after I finished walking, I wasnt as stiff and sore like I normally am. I also liked the way they felt in the gym. I could actually feel the muscles that I was working out in my feet while doing certain machines. I honestly think I will enjoy them and I may have to buy a pair of Vibram shoes next year! I heard the Vibram's are so much better!

I came to this blog to see exactly what Rocket was. Flying squirrels are adorable. They're small, even full grown. I'm sorry you eventually lost him.

Well you know my story with Vibrams. I had the buggers for 5 months and they gave out. But I walk primarily on asphalt. I loved them, but I won't get another pair for a while.
I'm glad your squirrel is still alive. I know you feel bad about him. Have you contacted maybe some of the wildlife rescues to see if they have anyone willing/able to take him and maybe have better luck? Just an idea. emoticon
