Reclaiming by body, stolen by inactivity

My body was stolen by slower and sorer and less stable and less motivated and fatter and less healthy until I was becoming a couch potatoe consumed by facebook, video games and surfing the web. I gave up after a few more falls, a few more injuries...Then I started moving, another broken ankle made my steps small at first, but now I'm moving fast! I still need to get some distance accomplished, but I can do 4 blocks! I didn't think I'd ever walk that far again. Now I'm back to actually focussing my activity in the form of stretches and exercise, I am soooo out of shape! I didn't gain weight, but I sure lost muscle-and gained inches. I'm really a wimp now. I feel like a big marshmallow. I want muscle back, luckily it grows fast with some consistant activity. I've started with a friendly local competition for fitness minutes with 2 of my spark buddies. Game on! emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I can completely relate, I actually had a great 'spark streak' going to the gym and getting fit and fabulous and losing the weight I needed to, then I moved cities and it completely disrupted my routine... I didn't gain 'too' much, but my whole body softened back up and i'm walking around like a 5'2" Miss. Staypuff Marshmallow woman... still, we came BACK! and we're back on the wagon! time to keep putting one foot in front of the other and get back to our healthy lifestyles!!!

    I can so relate! I haven't lost much weight but having my feet, ankles, and hips not hurting anymore is a blessing and I can walk for hours now!!! Give it a bit of time and don't stop, It'll be a new kind of hurt (sore muscles) but the kind of hurt that feels Good.
