Choose one, and why? look OLD-feel YOUNG? OR look YOUNG-feel OLD?

Friday, September 30, 2011

Looking old, but feeling young would be my preference because even though I would look old, I could spruce myself up, because feeling young means ENERGY! Looking young would have its perts, but what's the use if I'm having constant pains, slow moving, or worst yet, not ambulatory? That's MY preference....what's yours, and why?

No wrong answers at all. Be as beautiful as you are, and feel terrific about it. You are gorgeous and you are young at heart and In mind. My vision is faltering but I can still see my way to the beautiful aspects of life. I’ve lost my way, but I’m finding my way back. I have pains and discomfort but I still find and feel laughter. My mind has a slow leak, but I still can think and postulate. My features are older but my wife still finds me sexy. I’m not as fast as before but I still can make it there! I still have to take meds, but I can still drink a little beer and alcohol. (I know what the pill botttle reads ( my vision is faltering. Remember?) my anxiety is sky high, but that means I can still feel. My eldest son is preparing for college... and I AM STILL HERE, when the doctors once thought otherwise.

Feeling young without a doubt. One thing I appreciate about aging is not having as sharp vision as I used to. I can fool myself when I look in the mirror in the morning, that I look as young as I feel. emoticon

I got to look young when I was young, and it's great to feel young when I'm older.

I really hadn't thought about this until I read your blog. My preference is to look as others think I am, and then prove them wrong by how I think, act and live my intentions for health, wholeness, and happiness.

I think it depends on the context... Feeling young is definitely preferable, but it depends how young you'd look vs. how old you'd feel. If I was 40 and felt lathargic but looked 30, that would be okay because I could change my lifestyle so that I felt younger.

If I looked 40 but felt 30, I can dress nice and use expensive creams but it still wouldn't erase ten years of wrinkles.

I wonder how much difference there really is between 30 and 40 anyway... some food for thought...
