Bad Blogger!

Friday, September 30, 2011

Wow, what a terrible job I have done keeping up with my blogging. I can think of a million excuses, most of which are valid. BUT in all honesty, if I have time for Facebook or Angry Birds, I should be making time for this, since it is certainly better for my health.
So much has been going on since last I visited these friendly pages. First of all, let me SHOUT how proud I am of my sister, Kim and my friends Amy and Sharon for their amazing hard work and health transformations. It is so inspirational and motivational and quite sensational to witness such success. I have been going steady but not lost any weight since March. Not horrible, but not good. I have kept up with the exercise as steadily as my busy schedule has allowed. I have been working two jobs with the hopes of returning to labor and delivery as a primary job and leaving my full time job. The WONDERFUL news is that this goal has come to fruition. I will be starting at Wilson hospital within the next few weeks in their labor and delivery unit and I will be leaving New York State employment. With the state budget the way that it is, and no raises, forced time off without pay, and increased health care costs...it made the decision a wee bit easier.
I averaged my exercise for the year out and realized I have averaged over 26 minutes of exercise a day for the entire year so far. THAT is a huge improvement from previous years, and I am sure my cardiovascular system thanks me for it. And in all actuality the number is much higher since I have neglected this sight and not logged all of my exercise consistently. SO...yahoo for that.
I hope that all of my fellow bloggers are well. Time to hit the treadmill!

AWESOME to hear how well you are doing not only for yourself, but inspiring others and Spreading the SPARK to your sister and friends!

Congrats on the job turnaround also!

I've been blogging like crazy, with some falters, but coming back strong...logged over 1700 miles on my bike so far this year!
